Itineraries
Day 1
Date : 09/01/2018
Flight - Arrival Delhi (Arrival Post Lunch) Arrival and shopping at Dilli Haat
Arrive Delhi, meet and greet by team members at the airport. Transfer to the hotel for freshening up followed by visit to Delhi Haat.
In the evening, we drive to Delhi Haat for shopping.
Dilli Haat, a craft bazaar located in the heart of Delhi, has food and handicraft stalls representing each state of India. Products offered may include rosewood/ sandalwood carvings, embellished camel hide footwear, sophisticated fabric and drapery, gems, beads, brassware, metal crafts, and silk and wool fabrics.
Dinner at a restaurant and overnight in Delhi hotel.
Day 2

Delhi - Agra (By Bhopal Shatabdi Dep 06:15 hrs/ Arr 8:12 hrs) Agra - Delhi (By NDLS Shatabdi Dep 20:30 hrs/Arr 22:30 hrs)
Visit to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Marble Factory
Early morning transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express train to Agra at 6 AM. Breakfast on board. Arrive Agra at 0810 hours.
Full day sightseeing in Agra with an english speaking guide.
Taj Mahal: To people world over, the Taj Mahal, mausoleum of the Mughal Empress Mumtaz Mahal, is synonymous with India. The Taj is undoubtedly one of the most impressive buildings of the world. Renowned for its architectural magnificence and aesthetic beauty, it is invariably included in the list of the world's man-made wonders.

Post lunch, we visit the Agra Fort.
Agra Fort: The fort is built along the Yamuna River and stretches almost 2.5 km. The boundary wall of the fort is made of red sandstone. The fort has 2 gates, the Delhi Gate and the Amar Singh Gate. Though a part of the fort is still used by the Indian Army and is not accessible to the public, a visit to this historic fort gives you an insight on the life style of 16th century Mughals.
Late evening, we board train back to Delhi. Dinner on board the Shatabdi Express train to New Delhi.
Overnight in Delhi hotel.
Day 3
Date : 09/03/2018
Delhi – Bagdogra (Flight: 9W7156– Dep 1020 hrs/ Arr. 1225 hrs)
Darjeeling village hike/Interaction and Service work at local village school
Early morning after breakfast transfer to Delhi airport and board the flight to Bagdogra. From Bagdogra board the waiting coaches and drive 65Kms/3Hrs to Darjeeling. At Darjeeling check-in at the resort.
Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Briefing and Lunch at resort. Post lunch, for a short hike to a nearby mountain village. The hike takes us through a typical Gorkha Indian village where students can get a glimpse of village life in India.
The visiting students visit a local school and interact with the students. Learn about the difference and challenges in the mountain schools of India Himalaya.
After interaction drive back to resort for dinner.

Day 4
Date : 09/04/2018
Activities of the day: Mountain School visit and interaction with students, Easy Trek and Outdoor Education
Early morning wake-up call followed by breakfast. Post breakfast, we hike to local mountain school before the students arrive for the day. The visiting students can help out in cleaning the school (we will keep gloves, brooms and other cleaning equipment ready), create a library in the local school (the students can donate books and other school stationary in this new library).
After the local students arrive, the visiting students join them in their morning assembly and prayer. After assembly the visiting students can take a class like fine arts, drawing, music, and dance for local junior students at the school.
After spending 2Hours with the local students the visiting students should leave the local school so that their regular classes is not disturbed much and return to resort for lunch.
Post lunch the students will board the waiting coach and drive to road head for small trek of 2-3Hrs in the lap of Lower Himalaya.
Return to resort for evening tea and snacks followed by session on outdoor education like Tent Pitching, Rope Knots etc. and prepare for the next day long trek

Day 5
Date : 09/05/2018
Activities of the day: Full Day Trekking to Tonglu
Wake up call followed by breakfast. Post breakfast, drive Darjeeling - Maneybhanjang: 26 Kms/2 Hrs – Trek 11Kms/5-6Hrs: Maneybhanjang - Tonglu 3000 Mtrs.
One can cover the distance of 26 kms by car/jeep/coach takes 1.5. Hrs to 2 hrs to Maneybhanjang at an altitude of 2134 m which is the starting point of this trek. The trek from Maneybhanjang to Tonglu covering 11 kms/5 hrs is steep and up a zigzag road. One can see different varieties of rhododendrons and magnolias (best season for this flower is April & May) en-route one can see the magnificent view of Kanchenjunga.
Arrive and pitch up the tent followed by dinner around campfire and overnight stay in Tent Trekkers Camp (Two Person in one alpine tent).
Note:
1) The students will have to bring their own personal sleeping bags, trekking boots, head lamps, insect repellent, personal medication, nap sack, sun scream, sun glasses and hat etc.
2) We will provide Two men Alpine tents, food and snacks, carry mat, dry pit toilet tents, night guard at the camp, emergency vehicle for transportation on standby.
3) Hot water will be provided at the camp for drinking and body dry wash.

Day 6
Date : 09/06/2018
Activities of the Day: Drive to Darjeeling and Talent Show by Students
Morning after breakfast drive from Tonglu to Maneybhanjang by Car. Then transfer from Maneybhanjang to Darjeeling by Innova. Arrive and check-in at the resort.
Evening the groups will participate in talent show where the students can perform the play, sing and dance, in small groups.

Day 7
Date : 09/07/2018
Bagdogra – Delhi: Flight Dep1440Hrs/ Arr: 1655Hrs
Activities of the day: Tibetan Self-Help Refugee Centre
Morning after breakfast drive to Tibetan refugee center for visit and interaction.
Tibetan Self- Help Centre Or Refugee Centre:- This institute is run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc.
Later drive to resort for lunch followed by transfer to Bagdogra airport. Fly to Delhi and visit Qutub Minar (A UNESCO Heritage Monument) followed by farewell Dinner. Post Dinner, transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport (at-least 3 Hrs before flight departure schedule) for onward flight.
